AN OUTSIZE BROADCASTING STATION FOR NEW ZEALAND.—The building which will house the 2YA broadcasting equipment at Titahi Bay, sixteen miles from Wellington. When installed the plant will be capable of putting the enormous power of 60,000 Watts unmodulated in the aerial, and when fully modulated the instantaneous power fed to the aerial on the peaks of modulation will be 240,000 watts. The power drawn from the mains to operate the transmitter at peak will be 350,000 watts. The new 2YA will be equal in strength to any station in the British Empire.
