RONGOTEA.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) RONGOTEA, Sept. 14. The spring makes halting progress; rain has persisted for nearly throe weeks, and seems reluctant to give way to better weather. On farms in the Rongotea district the surface water has not had an opportunity to drain off for a considerable time, while in the gardens everything looks depressing and draggled, and the usual seasonable planting is being seriously retarded. A little sunshine would be welcome and enable some of the flowers to dry out, and raise their blooms in readiness for the forthcoming shows.
