DANCE FOR DEBUTANTE.
MISS MARJORIE WATT. Al iss Alarjorie Watt, youngest daughter of Mrs A. Watt, Fitzroy Street. Feilding, was a charming debutante, when she made her debut on Wednesday evening at a dance held in the AV.D.F.U. rooms. The function was very successful, a happy time being spent. Airs AVntt received the guests wearing black lace embroidered in gold and a black georgette coatee. Aliss Alarjorie AA r att wore a graceful model frock of ivorv silk net appliqued in silver, and carried a posy of cyclamens, and snowdrops. and silver streamers. Aliss Joan YVatt chose a trained frock of green and ld-Hc floral marocain. Iceland poppies were the chief decoration, and a log fire lent a homely atmosphere. ' The lucky spot waltz was won by Aliss Joan Bilman and Air AL Barltrop, and the Al'jnte Carlo by Aliss Cecil Andrews and Air Jack Nicol.
After supper Mr S. Orr (Sanson), on behalf of those present, extended best wishes to Miss Marjorie Watt and very warm thanks to Mrs Watt for a pleasant gathering, and asked Miss Joan Watt, who is leaving Feilding, to accept on behalf the gathering an opal ring. Orr, L. Jones, It. Darragh, D. Smith. It. ITavenard. M. Barltrop, T. Gifford. J. Pearce, N. Fitzpatrick, J. Watt (Palmerston North), G. Mitchell, J. Nicol, I. Meldrum. J. and E. Morrison (Halcombe), and J. W. I’. Watt (Wellington).
