THE CENTENNIAL.
DELEGATES APPOINTED. On Friday afternoon an informal meeting, convened by the Mayor (Mr T. Collins) was held for the purpose of appointing delegates to attend a meeting to be held in Wellington on August 3 to discuss matters in connection with the centennial celebrations. Those present in addition to the Mayor were Hon. J. G. Cob be. Messrs A. Campbell (Oroua County Council), L. T. McLean (Kiwi tea County Council), W. E. Barber (Ma.nawatu County Council), S. J. Strahnn (Pohangina County Council) and G,. J. Fitzpatrick (Feilding Chamber of Commerce). The meeting appointed the Mayor and Mr Campbell as delegates.
