M. LEON BLUM.
DAILY PHYSICAL EXERCISES. M. Leon Blum, the new French Premier, is revealed in a new light. Most people know him as a writer and brilliant speaker; a tall, thill, intellectual man, aristocratic of manner; a reputed millionaire, and the Socialist son of a wealthy Jewish manufacturer. But he is also an athlete. His physical instructor has told the French Press that Al. Blum has been a keen cyclist, walker, and fencer. Now lie does daily physical exercises, and twice a week has lessons lasting from half an hour to 45 minutes. These include exercises to keep the muscles supple, medicine ball, a bout of boxing, and massage. The lessons are given in Al. Blum’s office. Chairs and tables are cleared to the side of the room. M. Blum, it appears, has had the lessons for 15 years, and proposes to go on with them as Premier.
