LAMBTON STATION.

CHANGE-OVER MADE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 19. Though wind and rain retarded the work a little, splendid progress was made to-day with the formidable task of clianging-over the Wairarapa and Hutt Valley railway line from the old Lambton platforms to the two new platforms at the new railway station. It was expected to-night that there would be no hitch to preclude the use of the new platforms by passengers on the first train at 6 a.m. to-morrow. A start was made with the changeover at 9 a.m. yesterday. In all, 140 men were put on the job and the station yard was a scene of feverish activity.
