Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, July IS. Otago heat the visiting Fijian women’s hockey team to-day by six goals to nil. Neither side played the best of hockey. Otago was penalised too frequently for off-side play and the visitors conceded too many penalty corners. In the first half Otago had the better of play, and Misses L. McNeur and H. Johnson scored. The Fiji forwards were slow and unused to the type of ground on which they were playing. They were never dangerous, and Otago had the territorial advantage all the time. In the second half Miss Johnson scored again and Miss A. Harley added three goals for the period. The visitors attacked strongly and the Otago defence had a difficult task. Poor shooting and lack of combination, however, caused all efforts to go astray. The game ended Otago 6, Fiji 0.
