CARNIVAL ENTERTAINMENTS.
At the Opera House on Wednesday, and Thursday next, at, 8 p.m., two grand carnival entertainments will be given in aid of All Saints’ Parish Church funds. Seldom if ever ,has such splendid and varied entertainment been offered to the public as on this occasion. The ballets and solo dances by the pupils of the Broadway School of Dancing alone should drawcrowded houses. Aliss Gwen Gibbs is known in ?Cc\v Zealand for licr teaching of Hie German interpretative work and this beautiful style will be seen in group work and solo numbers. One of the groups will interpret the well-known song I roes. Three plays, “Love in the Ape-llouse,.. “Great- Aunt Jemima, and ‘Villa to Bet, will be produced by Mrs Linda Bonnet, and one play. “Which ATiss Robinson, produced by Air J. B. Proude, who is aho the author. Two of the plays will have for the cast the Junior Library Play-, ers and the others will be staged by the seniors. An attractive group of concert numbers has also been arranged, these taking part being Miss D.‘ Southey Baker, Aliss Freda Whittaker, Airis Helen Slither: land Mr C. W. Shirriffs and Alaster Sefton ’Freeman. The box plan opened tins morning at Messrs Collinson and Cunninghaine's.
