The Berlin correspondent of the Times states that the Austro-Gernian agreement is regarded us a success for the “Italian group” of Herr Hitler’s advisers, including Herr Von Hassel and Herr Von Papen, in contrast to the attitude of Herr Von Uibbentrop, who advised answering the British questionnaire. The Italian group declare that Signor Mussolini has shown that British public opinion can be successfully limited and is only impressed by deeds. Herr Von Hassel is now likely to be appointed Ambassador to London, and lien; Von Papen will probably replace him at Rome.
