The opening session of the Otago University Football Club’s golden jubilee celebrations was held yesterday, when the Canterbury College team and old players were welcomed by the University chancellor. A Rugby match wa.s played in the afternoon. A Shrewsbury farmer paid a £1 fine recently with a bag of eighty three-penny-pieecs.
