GRAFTON BRIDGE.

RECONSTRUCTION PLAN. .Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, July 14. Application is to be made by the Auckland City Council to the Local Government Loans Board for authority to raise £25,000 for the reconstruction of the approach spans of Grafton Bridge. The chairman of the council’s works’ committee, Mr Arthur Rosser, said advice had been received from the acting engineer-in-chief of the Public Works Department, Wellington, that he was quite satisfied the approach spans were in a dangerous condition and should be reconstructed without delay.
