WEDDING.

Gi BBS—EDMONDS.

All Saints’ Church, Palmerston North, was the scene of a pretty wedding on June 4. Canon Woodward performed the ceremony, and the contracting parties were Coral Leslie Cicely, granddaughter of Mr and Mrs C Edmonds, Glen Oroua, and elder daughter af Mr and the late Mrs A. G. C. Edmonds, Wanganui, and Arthur Marshall, only son of Mrs and the late Mr A. E. Gibbs, Ruahine Street, Palmerston North.

The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, looked beautiful in her gown of heavy white silk lace mounted on satin. The frock was cut on classical lines and slim-fit-ting to the knees, thence falling away to form a long train. The sleeves were long and close-fitting and the neckline was finished with dainty tucking. Her veil, lent by her aunt, Mrs N. Lancaster (Kairanga), was worn well off the face and held by a coronet of orange blossom. She wore a string of pearls, and a bouquet of tea roses and carnations completed a charming toilette. Her two bridesmaids, Misses Sybil Edmonds (chief) and Dorothy Gibbs, wore trained frocks of apricot and green lace respectively, fashioned on slim-fitting lmes, with slashed sleeves and neckline finished with silver lame roses. Their sashes and shoes were of silver and their mittens toned with their frocks. Short veils of apricot and green tulle, surmounted with halos of •silver leaves, were worn, and their bouquets were of apricot tunings. The, duties of best man were carried out hv Mr C. Carter, and Mr C. Edmonds was groomsman. Mr Holmes Runnicles was at the organ. After the ceremony a reception was I held at the Rosco rooms. Mrs Edmonds received her guests wearing a patterned frock of • suede crepe, with hat and coat to tone. Mrs Gibbs wore a black frock, with hat and coat to tone. Both carried posies of berries and autumn foliage. When the happy couple left later for the north Mis Gibbs was wearing a smart navy costume with felt hat and accessories to match.
