ST JOHN AMBULANCE.
FAREWELL PARTY
The members of the St. John Ambulance Nursing Division met on Friday afternoon at the residence of Mrs K. McCulloch, Grey Street, to bid bon voyage to Miss Sophie Kidd, who is leaving by the ltuahine on a trip to the Old Country. There were present: —Mesdames Hackshaw, H. Lyall, Z. Gill, I?. McCulloch, F. Lang, H. Dudfield, D. McPherson, H. Coles and Misses S. Kidd, G. Norman and Hackshaw. Mrs Coles (superintendent), in a brief speech, presented Miss Kidd with a travelling cushion and accessories, and said Miss Kidd would find a great difference in the St. John work in England. It was on a larger scales they had larger crowds and much more scope for their work, there being so many different channels for aid. Nurse Kidd would be able to give the division a lot of valuable informa.tion on returning. An apology for absence was received from Mr and Mrs J. A. Nash.
