TENIKOIT CLUB.
A meeting of the Palmerston North Tenikoit Club was bed in the office of Mr T. M. N. Rodgers on Wednesday evening, Mr L. K. Andrews presiding. Others present were Misses P. Carter (secretary and treasurer), J. Spilman, L. Bennett, Messrs T. M. N. Rodgeys (club captain), B. King, N. Lane, and Dr. Yeates. Apologies for absence were received from Misses J. Gaisford and J. Woodward. It was arranged that the club be divided into 'teams and the competitions lor the King Cup be proceeded with immediately; also that a club championship and handicap tournament be organised to commence as from July 18, for cups and suitable trophies. It is also hoped that a district championship will be organised during August. A ping-pong table has been introduced for the use of players when waiting for courts. Much enthusiasm has. been aroused and a very promising and successful season is anticipated. At the conclusion of the meeting a vote of thanks was passed to Mr Rodgers for the use of his office.
