Rev. A. T. Thompson, M.A., of Otago University, 8.D., of Yale Commonwealth secretary of the British and Forei{.»i Bible Soe’ety, Melbourne, is visiting relatives in Ma-stcrton and Palmerston North, prior to leaving for Fiji. Mr Thompson will bo remembered as Presbyterian minister at Masterton mil St. Andrew’s, Christchurch. lie left the latter charge to take up the New Zealand position of secretary of the British anil Foreign Bible Society, Wellington. He was later appointed by London headquarters to the position he now holds »i Australia. Mr Thompson has on two occasions been the speaker at the mnual meeting of his soc:oty in Lond„, held in Queen’s Hall, and will speak »i St. Andrew’s, Palmerston North, on Sunday evening.
