RUGBY FOOTBALL.

OItOUA SUB-UNION. The Orona Sub-Union's annual seven-a-side tournament was held at Ranghvahia, over 20 teams competing. The midgets' competition was won by AVaituna A team. In the schools' contest the Haleombe team were the victors. Apiti A were the winners of the senior competition, their winning try in the final against Rangiwalvt A being scored well on in the extra, time that had to be played. The final game, which was proving highly interesting had to be abandoned'as a draw on account of the light failing and the play-off will take place at a date to be arranged. Semi-final: Rangiwahia A 3 beat Apiti B 0, Halcombe 11 beat Waituna 0. Final: Halcombe 18 beat Rangiwahia A 0. Junior Competition.—First round .
