TE KAWAU RUGBY.
SEVEN-A-SIDE TOURNEY
Interesting games were witnessed at the annual seven-a-side tournament of the Te Kawau Rugby Sub-Union which was staged at Oroua Downs yesterday. There was a large attendance. The Feilding team won the senior grade after time had been extended on three occasions in their final with the Oroua Downs seven. The match was won by a force-down. The Ohakea team beat Rongotea by 3 points to nil to win the junior section, and in the primary schools’ department Sanson beat Kopane by 11 points to nil in the final. Mr S. L. Kent, as secretary, had all arrangements well in hand and
the tournament was capably run. Detailed results are as follow:
SENIORS.
First round. —Oroua Downs A 5 v. Sanson A 3; Rangiotu won by default from Rongotea B; Rongotea A b v. Feilding Old Boys 3; I*eliding 9 v. Oroua Downs B 0. Second round. —Oroua Downs A u v. Rangiotu 0; Feilding beat Rongotea Aby a touch down(extended time). _ „ Final. —Feilding beat Oroua Downs by a force down after three extensions of time.
