WELLINGTON STOCK EXCHANGE

YESTERDAY'S BUSINESS AND PRICES. Business was quieter on the Wellington ‘Stock Exchange yqstcrday and, with one or two exceptions prices were inclined to be easier. There was next to no inquiry for banks, the only business in this section being a sale of E., S. and A. at £6 ss, an advance of 6d. Pastorals were also neglected and Goldsbrough Morts weakened to 30s 3d, sellers 31s. Insurance issues were firm and National advanced to 18s 8d without response. In the industrial and trading section G. J. Coles were the most active and showed a strong hardening tendency. Sales were made up to 81s 3d, and buyers stayed in at 81s 6d, sellers moving up to 82s. Australian Glass were definitely easier at 88s 3d, sellers 89s 3d. YESTERDAY’S QUOTATIONS.
