The Berlin correspondent of the Times spys that Herr Himmler’s appointment, as general of the German police coincides with a change in the police uniforms from blue, which reminds Nazis of the democratic system, to grey-green, similar to General Goering’s militarised constabulary. Facings will be brown, harmonising with Nazi uniforms. The changes show the rapid ascendancy of Nazi extremists.
