Proportion of reserve (No. 7 less No. 5). to notes and other demand liabilities. 96.716 per cent., compared with 96.715 per cent, on June' 8. The note issue has risen to £10,049,350. an increase of £30,579. Demand liabilities to the State at £9,768,407, show an increase of £22,576. The trading banks’ reserve balances show a further decrease of £228,678, and now stand at £7,095.343. Other demand liabilities at £146.637, show a rise of £52,806. Liabilities in currencies other than New Zealand currencies appear in the statement at £18,600. Other liabilities at £88,660 shove an increase of £6577. Sterling exchange totals £23,388 007, a decrease f £99.812. Gold remains unchanged at £2.801,733. Subsidiary coin totals £198,213, a decrease of £2434. Investments amount to £2.014,857, a decrease of £llO. Other assets at £264,187, have increased by £4817. The statement balances at £28,666,997, a decrease of £97,539. FOREIGN EXCHANGE.
