(From Our Own Correspondent.) EK ETA HUN A. Julie 16. As a result of the Possible-Probable hockey match played at Harriua at the weekend a final selection will bo made by the solo selector (Mr R. Farrow) from the following players:—Mcsdnmcs Wolland and Galbraith, Misses A. Dick, D. Lott, E. (Jnvanagh, I. Spring, M. Payne, P. Ryan, A. Cooper, P. Burgess, I. Hawkcs, J. Ryan, V. Edge, M. Keith, and I. (Jiivanagh. The game was not. spectacular, the performances of some of the players being disappointing. The chosen team will represent Bush on tour at the end of the month. A match will also be played against the Fijian team at Ekctahuna. At the Foresters’ Hall on Monday evening the second aggregate of the Women’s Hockey Club, euchre tournaments was concluded, the winners being Miss G. Hooper and Mr T. Parsons. Winners on 1 lio evening's play were: —Ladies, Miss D. Leith; men, Mr Sigvcrsten; consolation, Miss J. Kenny and A. Olsen. At his residence, Stanley Street, the death occurred this morning of Mr J. Hunter after a painful illness. The deceased gentleman, who is survived by his widow, had resided hero for many years, rnnldnsr among the pioneer settlers. The interment will lake place at Masferton. Messrs R. Farrow and A. ( ampbcll left yesterday to attend the N.D.A. Conference being held at Hastings.
