(From Our Own Correspondent.) ASHHURST, June 16. The fifth shoot of the Ashliurst Defence Hide Club’s championship was fired Saturday uider perfect weather conditions. The ranges were 500 and 600 yards, and some good scores were returned. Those firing last at tho longer range were troubled with the light, and with tho exception of the president, Mr W. G. Itomley, they failed to maintain the high standard set by the earlier shots. Romley ran out the winner of the trophy for the day, presened by j Mr M. Ilausmann, his score being 32 —33 — ■ handicap 2—total 67. Eleven competitors tied for the trophy, but the president wen with a count back. Top scorers at 500yds were, E. Bailey, and R. Romley 34, and tit 600yds W. G.' Romley 33, J. Searle, R. Romley and C. Garrick 32 each. Detailed scores aro as follow: —W. G. Romley, 32 33 —2—67; J. Soarlo, 33 —32—2—67; Roy Rondey, 34—32—1—67; M.
