SCOTTISH INGLESIDE.

Since the commencement of the dancing season the popularity of the Alanawatu Scottish Society’s inglesides lias been increasing rapidly, and last evening’s gathering proved no exception, for the Cosmopolitan Hall, where the society holds its fortnightly functions. was' taxed to its capacity. Air F. Duckworth proved his efficiency as AI. by controlling the dance numbers to the satisfaction of all. Piper Cruden accompanied Aliss L. Cronin for the 6eantriu.bhas and Highland fling. A plenteous supper was served, after which Aliss Conlan played music for an extra dance. The winners of the lucky partner Gay Gordons were Airs Cronin and Mr Weston, and Aliss Wheeler and Air Taylor wore awarded the Alonte Carlo waltz prizes. Air C. F. Cronin jnado further mention of the mixed choir which is being formed, with practices at the residence of Air J. B. Thompson, AYaldegrave Street, on Thursday nights. Air Thompson has been chosen as the conductor. The choir is open to anyone, not necessarily members of the society, and it will not be entirely Scotch. Air Jenkinson reminded the assemblage of the “Gathering of the Clans.”
