KITCHEN TEA.

FOR BRIDE ELECT. At her home in Fitzherbert Avenue, Palmerston North, Mrs It. Cockburn entertained a number of friends recently in honour of Miss Aileen Sutton whose marriage took place to-day. The hostess, who wore a gown of brown floral silk, was assisted by her daughter, Mavis, who was attired in a dainty gown of pink. The guest of honour chose a model gown of red and blue floral design. Dancing was indulged in, while a recitation by Mrs B. Spencer and a mouth-organ item by Mr T. Bradley were appreciated. Several competitions were hold, the winners being Miss G. Aubrey, Mrs A. W. Sutton, Mrs B. Spencer, Miss A. Sutton, Mr F. Hobden, and Mr D. McEwen. After supper Miss A. Sutton was called upon to open the parcels. Many useful and beautiful gifts were revealed, for which Mr W. G'reen thanked the guests of behalf of Miss Sutton. Among those present were Miss A. Sutton, Mrs R. Cockburn, Mrs A. W. Sutton, Mrs B. .Spencer, Mrs C. Mowhide, Mrs L. Rosenberg, Misses M. Cockburn, D. Sutton, J. Sutherland, F. Teasdale, G. Aubrey, Messrs W. Green. R. Cockburn, J. McMillan, L. McMillan, C. Sutton, Ron Cockburn, L. Cockburn, T. Bradley, S. Lewis. K. McKenzie, F. Hobde'n, C. Mowhide, B. Webster, L. Rosenberg,, E. Mclllraith, B. Blandford, J. Smith, D. McEwen, and B. Spencer.
