CHRISTIAN CHURCHES

A CALL TO UNITY

DR AVERILL’S VIEAV.

(United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received May 28, 12.5 p.m. SYDNEY, Alay 28. Voicing a strong plea for reunion between the Christian Churches and other bodies, the Primate of New Zealand, Archbishop Averill, in the course of a sermon at St. Andrew’s Cathedral, declared that it was time they all did away with recriminations and met one another on common ground, where they could discuss matters of social and spiritual intercourse. It was a question of standing definitely for Christian principles in private, civic, and national life.
