HOSPITAL STAFF.

ENJOYABLE FUNCTION. Last party was held in the Orient Hall to celebrate the forthcoming ma.rriage of Mr J. Johnson and Miss Margaret Adamson. Air P. Lockwood’s name was also coupled with these celebrations in honour of his birthday. The organisers were members of the Palmerston North Hospital staff, while the catering was very effectively managed bv All's Johnson and Airs Zinnerman. A hea.rty vote of thanks was accorded these ladies. During the evening a number of items were rendered, including an xylophone solo by Air Hector Bell. .Another item of note was a ventriloquial act bv AH 11. Limn. Air A. Sanderton and Mr Hector Bell rendered numbers at the piano., while AFss Joan Price gave .an exhibition of tap dancing. Recitations were rendered by Afr A. Johnson and Airs Steer. A surprise feature of the party was the arrival of a group of girls in unique fancy dress, creating much amusement. The attendance was very large for r. fiinet.on of this nature, there being 7o present. ' At supper time a. vote of congratulation was accorded to the guests of honour wldle several of the organisers were' called unon lo give speeches. Air R. C. Watson"acted as AI.C. and a vo.e of thanks was accorded to him for his services.
