STATUE IN LONDON. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 16. The executive committee which has been considering various schemes for a memorial to the late King has decided that the memory of King George V shall bo perpetuated by the erection of a statue on a site in Abindon Street directly opposite the Victoria Tower of the Houses of Parliament, and by playing fields, each adorned with a memorial gate, throughout the length and breadth of the country. Lord Macmillan, chairman of the executive, made known this decision to members of the general committee at the Mansion House to-day.
