AIRMAN KILLED.
FIRST SOLO FLIGHT. MELBOURNE, May 17. Norman Keith Field, aged 20, when having his first solo flight, was burned to death when his ’plane touched the chimney of a house at Glen Waverly, 10 miles from Melbourne, crashed, and burst into flames. Field had just completed circling over his home when the crash occurred.
