FREEZING WORKERS.
SOUTH ISLAND AWARD. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, May 15. Representatives of all the freezing workers in the South Island districts will be called together at a conference to be held shortly to discuss a proposal to form a South Island organisation, and to co-operate in an attempt to secure a South Island award for next season. Tt was stated to-day that the reorganisation of the . Canterbury Freezing Workers’ Union, which 'took place this season, had been remarkably successful.
