MISSING TRAWLER.

UNUSUAL CIRCUMSTANCES.

LONDON, May 15

Lloyds’ agents all over the world have been instructed to watch for the North Sea trawler Girl Pat, which the Admiralty declares is a pirate. If it is proved that the skipper and crew of four seized her, it will then be the duty of every ship flying the British flag to asist in apprehending her. The trawler, which is equipped with the latest Diesel engines, left Dover on April 4 and put into Corcubion (Spain) on April 12. She left nine days later after extensive repairs, not stating her destination. The owners, the Marstand Fishing Company, _ notified the underwriters on April 27 that they regarded the ship a total loss. They explained that they had engaged the skipper a few months ago. Ho picked his own crew, with the exception of the engineer, whom they left at Dover. The ease has recalled the disappearance of the Ferret in the 80’s. The vessel was later discovered at Melbourne owing to the curiosity of a coastguard who found that no vessel boro the name under which it was disguised.
