Colonel R. C. D’E. Spottisivoode, who died at his home at Glenmire, Co. Cork, on March 1, at the age of 94, was in all probability the last combatant survivor of the Indian Mutiny. He kept his vigour of mind to the end, and only last year brought out a discursive volume of “Reminiscences” for private circulation.
