(From Our Own Correspondent.) BULLS, April 27. Wintry weather marred the attendance at the Anzac Day service in Bulls on Saturday. Returned soldiers paraded under Captain’ Mitchell; Flock House cadets wore in charge of Lieut. Campbell; Parewanui Scouts under Mr Anderson; and the Legion of Frontiersmen were represented by Captain R. H. Allen, of Palmerston North. The procession marched to the Town Hall. Owing to the weather conditions the greater part of the service was held in the hall, and was as follow's: —Hymn, "Lead Kindly Light”; prayer, Rev. B. R. White; Scripture, Rev. A. Hunt; address. Rev. Milllint; hymn, Kipling’s “Rcce-sional”; National Anthem; prayer. Rev. T. G. Shilton; hymn, “O God Our Help in Ages Past”; Benediction, Rev. T. G. Shilton.' The procession then proceeded to the Soldiers’ Memorial, where wreaths wore deposited hv representatives of the Patriotic Society, Flock House. Bulls School, and many other’s. Mr Kitching then sounded “The Last Post” and “Reveille.” A wedding of local interest was solemnised at Raotihi on April 13, when John, second son of .Mr and Mrs J. Dwyer, of Bulls, was married to Mary Cushla, only daughter of Mr and Mrs Martin Coflev, of Pokako. Main Trunk. Miss Mary Dwver. of Marton, was chief bridesmaid, and Mr Noel Dwver, of Ohakunc. best man. Rev. Father MeGlonc, parish priest of .Ohakune, was the officiating minister, and this was.the first nuptial Mass celebrated in the Ractihi Church. Many Rangitikei relatives and friends were present. Mr and Mrs Dwyer’s future home will ho near Masterton. where Mr Dwyer has been appointed teacher at tho Mikimiki School. Three former members of tho local Post Office staff were holidaying here last week. They -were Messm T-’. Xottlo (Wanganui), L. Hillier (Wellington) and H: Kearney (Patca). Mrs G. P. Holland, of Halswoll Street, Wanganui, who is staying in Bulls, was stricken by a sudden illness early on Anzae Day, and relatives from Wanganui and other places were hurriedly called here. I-ater reports are to the effect that Mrs Holland’s condition is slightly improved. ■ Mr M. Kidd, who has been ill for some months, became worse a few days ago. and relations from several places are here at present. Mr Kidd’s condition is causing a great deal of anxiety. ■
