MEETING OF DIRECTORS, The directors of the Manawatu Cooperative Building Society held a 1 meeting' last night, those present being:—Menu's F. J. O’Shea (chairman), AV. H. AA’ard, G. B. Cope, and G. G. Priest. Shares were allotted in No. 7 group, which started operations on April 10: ’The share list will close with 1000 shares and the directors anticipate that the.list will soon rlos° A" loan of £SOO wns finally approved in No. 1 group; loans of £/:ou and £IOO were approved in No. 2' group; a loan of £7OO was placed in the valuer’s hands in No. 4 group; £7OO wen finally approved in No. 5 group; nnd a loan of £SOO was granted, subject to repairs to buildings, in No. 6 group. All these loans are free of interest. .
