AMERICAN-CANADIAN TRADE PACT. AVASHINGTON, April 21. Trade figures published on the movement of goods between the United States and Canada in January, February, and March, the first three months in which the new treaty between these two nations lias been effective, show an appreciable increase, witli Canada benefiting in greater proportion with exports to the United States to the value of 69,494,000 dollars, as compared with 55,838,000 dollars for the corresponding period of 1935, or an increase of some 25 per cent. Exports to Canada were valued .at 85,167,000 dollars, as compared with 77,978,000 for the corresponding period of 1935, an increase of 10 ,per cent. TREATY AVITH COLOMBIA. AVASHINGTON, April 21. The reciprocal trade treaty with Colombia negotiated last autumn was proclaimed in effect to-day by Presidential order. This makes 10 such treaties effected with foPeign countries. America.is granted tariff reductions on 150 items, ranging from agricultural products to machinery, automobiles and electrical supplies. Concesions to Colombia include reductions on native products such as castor beans and an assurance that coffee, bananas, and other products will remain on the free list. ,
