It is reported from Mogadiscio that a storm on Sunday broke over the whole of the Southern l'Yont, interrupting wireless communication and delaying flying operations. The flooded streams are bringing down hundreds ot -Uiyssniian corpses. .lUkiis Ababa reports that the Abyssinians claim that tliey have repulsed further Italian attempts to auvancc along the Uessic-Addis ADaba road over Tarmarbur Mountain (in the north), subsequently routing an enemy comma during a night attack.

ITALIAN PREPARATIONS
LONDON, April 21. The Daily Telegraph's Addis Ababa correspondent says that the Italian advance toward Addis Ababa has halted. The nearest troops are declared to bo at least 100 miles away. It is believed that the Italians have paused to consolidate their position before making the final forced march on the capital. it is suggested that Marshal Badoglio transferred his headquarters to Dessie in order better to organise the coming march on Addis Ababa. The transfer was effected by 12 aeroplanes in 90 minutes. Marshal Badoglio entered the town in the Emperor’s motor-car, which was found abandoned at Quorum. He was awaited by Coptic clergy and greeted -by singing girls. A large new aerodrome is already laid out at Dessie, to which hundreds of tons of munitions and stores are hurriedly • being transported from the north. DUTCH RED CROSS. TO LEAVE - ABYSSINIA. New war credits total £24,008,000, including the War Ministry £10,000,000, ’the Air Ministry £3,000,000, the Navy £3.000,000, the Home Office £1,009,000, and the Foreign Office £7,000,000. The Daily Telegraph’s Rome correspondent says tliat the Government is reported to be considering a 0 per cent internal Abyssinian development loan of £82,000,000 or £83,000,000 It will not be issued until the victory is complete.
