ST. JOHN’S GIRLS’ CLUB.
PARTY AT FEILDING. A novel form of entertainment was provided at the meeting of members of the St. John’s Girls’ Club, held in the Parish Hall, on Monday night, tire arrangement being that each member he dressed to represent old and new fashions- The first part of the programme took the form of a mannequin parade, which was followed by community singing, and supper. The “mannequins” were Mrs Mills and Miss Nell Mills, as a father and mother of the eighties, Miss Joy Stuckey as tennis in the older days, and Misses Winnie Stuckey and Dorothy Sargisson as modern sports girls, Miss June Irving as a waitress, Miss Pat Irving as a modern sports boy, Miss Margaret Richardson as a modern bathing girl, Miss Molly Petrie as grandma, and the wedding party taken from “the Hon. Archie and his Japanese Houseboy,” the members of which were Misses Joan Benson, Jean Lamerton, Leila Geary, Molly. Milner, Helen Chandler and Gladys Overend. •
