SEiSGF (From Our Own Correspondent.) ASHHURST, April 21. The second shoot of the Ashhurst Defence Rifle Club’s service championship for the Mewett Cup was fired over tho 300 and 500yds ranges last Saturday. The day- was fine, with & light changing front wind and some excellent scores were obtained, as competitors were required to use open sights and no slings. At 300yds, T. Orr and R. A. Jones each secured a score of 31, while J. Searle and J. Orr made 30 each at the 500yds range. H. Barlow, who was not competing in tho service shoot, registered a good 33 at 500yds over tho aperture.
