The Rope has appointed as one of his Chamberlains of the Cloak and Sword Mr Lo Pa-liong, a leading Chinese industrialist, well-known for his philanthropic work in Shanghai. This is the first occasion on which a man not of the white races has been appointed to this position at the Papal Court. Mr Lo Pa-hong is also the Pre-sklent-General of the Catholic Action in China.
