EXPORTS AND BIPORTS.

WELLINGTON, April 22 A substantial improvement in the Dominion’s overseas trade is recorded for the financial year ended March 31, 1936. According to the return released yesterday by the Customs Department exports lor the twelve months were valued at £49,676,000, as ’compared with £44,918,000 for the preceding year, an increase of £4,758,000. Imports for the twelve months were valued at £37,439,000, the highest figures recorded for some years and an increase Of nearly £5,000,000 over the imports for the twelve months ended Alarcli, 1935. The iihports for tlie latest twelve months are actually over £11,000,000 in excess of those for the year ended March, 1934.
