WORLD HIDE MARKET.
GERMAN RESTRICTIONS. Reviewing the market for hides under date March 12, W. Wcddel and Coy., Ltd., London, state that it is not likely that there will be much trading with Germany for a time. ■ The clearing system has become rather more difficult and now shippers arc unable to make sales, except for May shipment, and drafts must be extended from 60 days to 90 days. What may happen is that outstanding business will be largely cleared up beforo any fresh commitments' are made. Germany scorns determined to keep the trade balance completely in hand with all countries.
