ILLEGAL CUTTING OF TREES. Per Press Association. GREYMOUTH, April 6. For cutting three trees on the scenic reserve at Harihari, James Glass, a bushman, was fined £5 in the Magistrate’s Court this morning. It was stated to he the first prosecution of its kind in the district and was brought as a warning to sawmillers. The fine included an amount of £3 18s 9d as double royalty on the trees cut.
