MAGISTRATE’S COMMENT.
CASE AT WELLINGTON. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April- 6. A taxi driver, John Ferguson Macloan, charged with being intoxicated while in charge of a taxi, was fined £lO and had his .license endorsed and suspended for twelve months. The Magistrate (Mr E. Stillwell) said that in the interests of the public the penalty had to be heavy.
