PURCHASE OF BUSH.
SCENIC AREA AT WHANGAREI. WHANG ARE I, March 25. A contribution of £ls toward the cost of purchasing approximately 200 acres of scenic bush at Bream Head, at the Whangarei Heads, is to be made by the Whangarei Borough Council. The securing of this bush had been taken up by local bodies and the Whangarei Chamber of Commerce with the Minister in charge (Hon. F. Langstone), who replied stating tlujt if local bodies and others interested would contribute a small amount toward the cost, the Government would consider finding the balance of the purchase price of £4OO.
