PLUNKET SOCIETY.
BADGE DAY NEXT SATURDAY. Next Saturday, March 21, has been set aside as Badge Day the Plunket Society, when badges will be oil sale by sellers who have undertaken to assist in this manner with the purpose of aiding the society. The splendid work which has been done in the past over a long period of years in assisting mothers and children needs no emphasising, and the organisers of the local branch of the movement hope that the public of Palmerston North will demonstrate their appreciation and practical sympathy by purchasing a badge. A street stall is also being arranged and the society will he pleased to receive donations of cakes, jams, vegetables—in fact, anything which is saleable on such an occasion. While recognising the numerous calls which are made oil the public from time to time, the organisers of this Plunket appeal hope that the extremely essential nature 1 of the services rendered by tjie society will find the residents in a generous mood and so contribute to the funds which are so necessary to the continued efficiency of the work. Next Saturday, then, is Plunket Day. Will you remember and help if ■ you can?
