PAIIIATUA, March 17. A; flio annual meeting of the Pahiatun C!olf Club, Mr P. A. Boagey presided. • The report and balance-sheet showed that I there was a credit balance in hand of .5190 I 18s sd, which amount was £2O in excess ! of the balance in hand at the endl of the | previous year. Expenditure for the year | amounted to £139 3s 4d. The election of < officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows:—President, Mr 11. Smith (rej elected): vice-president, Mi’ F. P. Nelson (re-elected); captain. Mr .1, 0. Sullivan (re-elected): secretary, Mr 11. Watson (reelected) : treasurer, Mr L. H. Tattle (sub- [ ject to consent); general committee, Messrs d. Shecklet.on, A. Donald, C. Wright,- R. M. Taylor and (J. MacDonald. Mr and Mrs E. W. Eddie and family were elected honorary members of the club. In consideration /of services rendered, the club’s lion, secretary and the secretary of the ladies’ committee were granted honoraria cciuivalent to the annual subscriptionto the club. The ladies’ committee was elected as follows; —Captain, Miss R. Shekleton; vice-captain, Miss A. Boyd; secretary, Miss 11. Ross; members of committee, Mrs S. K. Siddells and Misses N. Irving, V. Rutherford and E. Taylor. The conimittqe of the Pahiatua Swimming Club held a meeting on Monday evening, when it was decided to close the baths lor the season on Saturday.
