ESPERANTO NEWS.

A lady resident received a letter in Esperanto.,from an Austrian pen friend on Monday. March 16, in which, he said: “Two days ago my radio broadcast a report that a cyclone passed over New Zealand and especially raged at Palmerston North. ” He extended the hope that neither she nor her family suffered any accident. The 28th world congress of Esperanto is to be held in Vienna in August and the correspondent reports “t|iat already there, are 500 Esperantists gathered there for the occasion from 20 different countries.” As a point of interest it may be mentioned that .New Zealand is to be represented by Mr Hornblow. of Wellington.
