ROGILLA TO BE RETIRED. SYDNEY, March 18. At the Victoria Park races the following was the result of the first division of the F'lyjng Handicap, six furlongs and ahalf.—Palady, 6.12 (Curby) 1; Merrie Miller, 8.0 2; Glcmvitch, 7.4 3. Sixteen started, including Norman Conquest and Loud Applause. Half a neck. M. McCarten, who resumed riding- on Saturday after having completed his period of suspension, won the second division on Lord Sun. Mr L. Haigh announced to-day that Rogilla has run his last race and is to be retired. Mr Haigh, who leased Rogilla throughout his racing career, said that the gelding had developed a round bone and it was useless perserving with his preparation.
