The announcement that in view of the increased shooting license fee of 25s it was proposed this year to buy 2000 pheasants and to breed from gre.v ducks with the idea in another year’s time of reuring 5000, was made by the president of the Auckland Acclimatise*tion Society, at a meeting of the council of the society.
