MANAWATU TOURNAMENT. WIND AFFECTS PLAY. Weather conditions were; perfect for the resumption of play in the annual tournament of the Manawatu Croquet Association this morning, but the wind soon began to trouble players. First round.—Mrs Sears beat Mrs Dickel, 26 —20; Mrs McMurray beat Mrs Wilson, 26—12. HANDICAP DOUBLES. Semi-Final. Mesdames Barron and Batchelor beat Mesdames Davidson and Anderson, 26—16.
