WOMEN’S DIVISION.
BRANCH MEETING. Mrs A. Iv. Prouse, president, was in the chuir at the monthly meeting of the Feilding branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union, a small number of members being present. Those present stood in silence in a motion in respect of the passing of the late King George. Airs C. E. Taylor, vice-president, gave an address on his late Alajesty’s life. Sympathy with members who had suffered bereavements was also expressed. Aliss W. Dawson wa s welcomed as a new member. The housekeeping secretary report-
ed that one housekeeper had been employed during the month, and members were advised that a sewing woman was available. Nominations for educational week were received and additional nominations will be received at the Alarch meeting. The secretary reported on the Blind Institute stall at the show, which had been a great success. Thanks were accorded all those who had helped. Greetings for 1936 were received from the president of the Wellington Central Provincial Council, Airs J. H. Harris. Airs Prouse gave a report on the half-yearly meeting at Hamilton and was accorded a vote of thanks. At the conclusion of the business, refreshments were served.
